Endovascular Innovation Overview

Kensey Nash Corporation developed and commercialized a series of novel endovascular devices in the emerging market segments of thrombus (blood clot) management and chronic total occlusions (CTO) in both the U.S. and Europe. These products included the ThromCat® Thrombectomy System, a fully disposable catheter designed for removing blood clots, and the QuickCat™ Aspiration Catheter, an easy to use catheter designed for simple thrombus management. In addition, we acquired and enhanced the Safe-Cross® RF CTO System, a guidewire-based CTO crossing technology that incorporates important guidance technology and the power of radio frequency (RF) energy.

In May 2008, we sold these innovative product technologies to the Spectranetics Corporation. Under agreements with Spectranetics, we will continue the development and manufacture of these products for a period of time. Spectranetics has assumed all responsibility for sales, marketing and customer support of the product portfolio.
