Neurosurgery

Capabilities

Kensey Nash works across three product platforms to design, develop, and manufacture bioresorbable medical devices that address the complex requirements for neurologic surgery. Our collagen, extracellular matrix, and synthetic polymer technologies allow tailored design of scaffold materials. These provide structural support for tissue regeneration while they are remodeled by host tissue and resorbed by the body.

We have expertise in formulating devices by utilizing our proprietary Porous Tissue Matrix (PTM™) material, naturally-derived collagen constructs and Extracellular Matrix (ECM) technology to create innovative solutions for dural repair. Additionally, Kensey Nash has the extensive knowledge and ability to produce a wide range of neurological devices, such as cranial plates and resorbable fixation screws.

Currently, the neurological field has a clinical need for innovations in reinforcement and reapproximation of dural tissue, bridging dural defects, adhesion prevention, and preventing cerebral fluid leakage.  Kensey Nash is committed to working with clinicians to develop the technologies to address these needs for advanced neurological repair.
