Bone Grafting

In cases when bone grafts from the hip (iliac crest harvests) are necessary, MacroPore® mesh can be used to maintain the relative position of bone graft in the hip.

Specific bioresorbable implants serve as a protective covering for iliac crest (hip bone) reconstruction after a bone graft procedure.
1. Bone defect in the hip after harvesting iliac bone.

2. Surgeon shaping the macroporous mesh to cover the graft donor site.

3. MacroPore mesh covers the site and allows the bone to heal in a protected environment.

(The illustrations are for informational purpose only - the iliac crest bone grafting product line was sold to Medtronic in September 2002.)
